CC Barnard, born Caroline Nelson to Maesah and Juliet Nelson, was raised and educated in Liberia, West Africa, graduating from Cuttington University College as an Accountant. Considering Music her first and true calling, CC is a Singer, Pianist and Writer who began singing in the Adult choir of Effort Baptist Church in Paynesville, Liberia with her mother, Juliet, at the age of 12. She has written more than 75 poems and songs and produced seven musical albums, of which two are compilations : Jezeh A Po Zuo, One Way Ticket to Monrovia, Oyh Seh Chien, We will Make it , Round Trip Ticket to Monrovia, Angels & Let My People Go! 


   CC believes that she is called to use her talents and experiences to contribute positive messages and resources for the revolution that is in process in Liberia and other parts of African and the world. CC is also the self appointed Coordinator of the Liberian Development Tax Champaign, In which she calls Liberians pay for their own development instead of waiting for handouts. CC Barnard serves as President of Effort Baptist Church & Friends USA, an association of Liberian members of Effort Baptist Church Paynesville Liberia and Chairperson of the Fundraising Standing Committee of The Liberian Community Association in the DC Metro Area. 

   She will continue Graduate studies in Accounting at Strayer University in 2007, hoping to graduate in 2009 and plans to Produce, in the future: Liberia will Rise Again When YOU Pay Your Development Tax – Excerpts from the Writings of CC Barnard, Liberia Will Rise Again – A Musicmentary, One Way Ticket Top Monrovia Music Video, Why is Africa Still Broke, Kukujumuku, Holy Ghost Take Control and A Pon Zuo all Musical Albums. CC is a survivor of the Liberian Civil War which took the life of her first husband, E. Siafa Cooper. CC lives in Maryland with her husband, Johnny Thomas Barnard, a Liberian trained Lawyer, and children: Korpo, Mongah and Toye.
